Gulgong Equipment Test.

Quick blat in the country. Visited my mate Mark.

Tested out the new bag system. I like them a lot. I hate the straps that go with it. Replacing them ASAP..

Tent got tested in the elements. Held up just fine. It works. I rather like this tent for several reasons.

1. The name. Taku
2. Lots of little pockets inside. Lots of tens have 1 pocket. More have no pockets. But this one has some stashed all around the interior.
3. A sturdy central hook on the inside. I have no fear of putting a decent load on it. I could hang a reasonable piece of clothing to dry on it.
4. Vestibule is a good size.

Left my General Purpose rag at home. So I was scrapping bugs & bees off the visor with my gloves. ( Must pack rag. )

This is also the first test run of the poser BMW jacket. No wonder these things cost a minor fortune. It's an amazing jacket. As you can see any little bit of direct light and the thing lights up. Also the pads in are really good. The spine protector is a nice touch and it basically provides a nice pad between me and the bags. So I don't really have to worry about what is behind while I ride.

Ride there, 30c - rain - 11c - rain + hail - 28c all in 4 hours.
